We are four sisters, raised with strong family values — where caring for one another was not optional, it was natural.

Our lives have been shaped by caring for loved ones during illness, navigating loss, and advocating for family when systems felt overwhelming. We know what it means to sit beside someone you love and wish the world would slow down and treat them gently.

That is why we do this work: helping your loved one remain independent, comfortable, and dignified in their own home — while giving your family peace of mind, knowing they are treated like family, not a task.

The name Heart Of 4 Sisters represents unity, strength, and unconditional support — just like sisters standing together. Because at Heart Of 4 Sisters, caring isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are. This is care with heart.

Meet the founder

Dishanda (Shanda), founder of Heart Of 4 Sisters Home Care

I’m Dishanda — “Shanda” to family

A nurse, caregiver, mother, and survivor.

“My name is Dishanda (Shanda), the founder of Heart Of 4 Sisters. I bring over a decade of hands-on healthcare experience to the care I provide.”

I graduated from Wilby High School in 2000 and began my career as a CNA after earning certification from Stone Academy. I have worked in clinical settings including Bridgeport Hospital and Waterbury Hospital, with over 10 years of experience in phlebotomy and direct patient care. I later earned my LPN license from Porter and Chester Institute, and I serve as a Wound Nurse while continuing my education in an RN program.

As a breast cancer survivor, my personal journey has deeply shaped my compassionate, patient-centered approach. I believe that even through hardship, purpose can grow — and that belief guides everything I do.
